As discussed at the last workgroup meeting, MassDEP will hold a ‘Data Day’ meeting on May 4th (NOW STARTING AT 9:00 AM and continuing into the afternoon – MassDEP Boston, 2nd floor conference room) designed to examine the usefulness of modeling the vapor intrusion pathway at sites in Massachusetts. Andy Friedmann will introduce the recent U.S. EPA presentation on vapor intrusion, as well as the U.S. EPA’s latest web version of the Johnson and Ettinger Model.
This will be followed by an in-depth discussion, led by Paul Locke, of data obtained from the U.S. EPA, MassDEP, and … YOU. A specific request for data will be forthcoming, including a spreadsheet template to help format the information in a consistent manner. For a head-start, please review the EPA’s Indoor Air/Vapor Intrusion Database at http://iavi.rti.org/index.cfm.
